About the Artist

Jennifer Barnett initially trained as a draughtswoman and gained valuable knowledge in the techniques of measurement and form. She returned to study part-time, focusing on drawing and painting. After winning several art prizes, she exhibited widely and later went on to work as a courtroom artist for Channel 9 in Adelaide. Returned to studies in 2002. She moved to Victoria in 1996 and runs workshops from her studio. She is excited to return to South Australia as part of the Artist in Residence program with the Barossa Arts Festival and bring to life these fabulous children's workshops.
