Learn to Sew: Making & Mending
Event description
Learn the incredibly useful life-skill of sewing for making and mending!
Beginning with the basics, you will gain the sewing skills you need to get started on the sewing machine. Then dive in and start making homewares, clothes and crafts.
Over three weeks you will build up your practice and learn new techniques by sewing 2 – 3 fun projects!
Skill level: Absolute Beginner.
We will provide: Sewing machines if you don’t have your own or can’t bring it to class. All other equipment, handout notes, patterns for the projects, fabrics as required and lots of very practical advice and techniques!
Students are encouraged to bring their own sewing machine if they have one!
Bring along: Your own sewing machine if you would like to learn on that and some basic sewing equipment if you have it.
