Create your own water bottle bag and build on your sewing skills in this relaxed, hands-on session. This class is ideal for students who have already attended a beginner sewing class and are confident using a sewing machine.

For our weekly sewing students—or those with prior sewing experience—this workshop offers the perfect opportunity to practise and refine existing skills or step up the difficulty level. Depending on your confidence and interests, you may choose to explore techniques such as:

Adding a pocket
Finish the top edge with binding
Patchwork
Appliqué
Shadow appliqué
Reverse appliqué

Guided by an experienced instructor, you’ll be supported to work at your own pace while creating a practical, reusable water bottle bag that suits your style.

Whether you’re strengthening your foundations or challenging yourself with new techniques, you’ll leave with a finished piece that reflects your creativity and something you’ll be proud to use and wear.

Please note:
We suggest students allow 2 weeks to finish this bag. Should students finish quickly, they can make a 2nd bag or choose a quick project from our pattern library to continue their sewing journey.

Age & Abilities:
Children under 10, or participants with a disability, will need an accompanying adult to work alongside them. This support person helps keep them on task and assists with following the step-by-step instructions.
