Description

Five months ago, we started a conversation about Accounting for Good to explore how social enterprises can track mission-led costs and reinvestment. Now, we're keen to gather again and see how people are putting these ideas into practice.

Whether you are only just starting to tweak your chart of accounts to track your impact, already have a system that clearly demonstrates how you are reinvesting in your purpose, or are still sitting at the starting line wondering how to showcase your impact-related expenses, this session is for you.

This one-hour peer learning session will be grounded in practical action. It will bring our community together to share the practical steps we are taking, the challenges we've faced, and the solutions we're discovering. It isn't about building perfect systems immediately. It's about establishing a baseline and helping organisations move beyond simply believing they create impact to actually demonstrating it through data, measurement and evidence.

We’ll talk about:

  • Real-world tracking: What tools or categories are you actually using to track things like employee support, pro-bono services, or subsidised products?

  • Proving reinvestment: How are you successfully demonstrating to stakeholders and verifiers that your profits (actual or potential) are going back into your mission?

  • What’s working (and what isn’t): A chance to swap notes on software workarounds, reporting hurdles, and shared challenges.

While this isn’t a formal webinar, we are thrilled to welcome back Adam Mostogl and David Morrison to the room! They will join the circle to share their expertise and answer questions, alongside the collective wisdom of everyone in the room as we learn from each other's journeys.

The Ground Rules

To enable open sharing and frank conversations, we don’t record our Learning Circles. We only take basic notes to capture the core themes. If you’d like to contribute to the discussion and hear the perspectives shared on the day, you’ll need to be in the (virtual) room with us!

Bring your questions, your ideas, and your imperfect spreadsheets. We’d love to have your voice in the circle.
