Leveraging Philanthropy to Leave a Lasting Legacy
Many of us think of Philanthropy as the domain of the extremely wealthy, but this is far from the truth. True philanthropy in its most basic form is simply giving back to your community some of your time and treasure. Please join us for an informative and insightful talk on redefining philanthropy and leaving an impactful legacy on your terms with Carmen Cruces and Safia Kryger-Nelson Directors of Philanthropic Planning at the Marin Community Foundation.
Safia Kryger-Nelson is Director of Philanthropic Planning at the Marin Community Foundation (MCF), where she works closely with donors for whom philanthropy is an important part of life. She begins the longstanding, trusted relationships that MCF seeks to have with its donors by outlining options for lifetime giving, family philanthropy or legacy giving. She will cover the different fund vehicles available for legacy giving, their best use case, and how we can help design a giving plan, and the options available to involve future generations in philanthropy.
Joining in the conversation, will be Philanthropic Planner Carmen Cruces. Carmen manages MCF’s legacy portfolio. She nurtures relationships with our legacy donors during their lifetimes and stays informed about their evolving philanthropic goals, as these can change over time. MCF’s priority is to provide our donors with the absolute peace of mind that their philanthropic intentions will be effectively supported and honored in the future.
Lunch will be provided. RSVP to Poko Giacomini at 415-488-8888 x 100
