Leave a gift in your will for Kororāreka Russell

Did you know that gifts in wills are the single biggest source of charitable donations globally?

Yet in Aotearoa New Zealand, only around 6% of us currently have a charitable contribution confirmed in our will.

We are hosting this information evening for people in our community to come and learn how you can leave a legacy for Kororāreka Russell that lasts long after you are gone. We know that many people in our Russell community care deeply about this special place and its people, and this is a fantastic opportunity for a final act of generosity.

Andrew Golightly, partner in MWIS Lawyers, will explain how to include a gift in your will, with various options to best suit your circumstances, simplify the process to make it easily understood for all of us, and answer your questions.

We will also hear from representatives of three local causes, who will share how a gift in your will could make a long-term difference in our community:

• Project Island Song, leading the regeneration of the islands of Ipipiri
• the Duffus Memorial Trust, who provide affordable housing for elderly Russell residents at the Duffus Estate, and
• Russell RSA, supporting our local veterans and their families.

Of course, you can also use the information to leave a gift in your will for any other cause close to your heart, near or far.
