Make a wooden shape light up using LEDs!

This beginner electronics workshop introduces young makers to the basics of building circuits whilst learning about electricity and creating their own decorated light-up LED shape.

This workshop will cover:

  • How electricity works
  • Making a basic electronic circuit
  • How to safely make electronic projects

This hands-on workshop helps to develop the technical skills of young makers whilst providing assistance and support where needed.

This workshop is suitable for caregivers and children, as well as mixed-age family groups.

No prior experience is necessary, assistance and instruction is available throughout the session.

All sessions take place on-site at Makerspace Adelaide with small group sizes and direct instruction from an experienced electronics maker, all components and materials are provided by Makerspace Adelaide.

IMPORTANT INFO

Places are limited and bookings are essential. A ticket is required for each young person participating, accompanying parents and caregivers do NOT need to purchase additional tickets.

This session is suitable for makers aged 5 years and up; children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Children under 10 years must be accompanied by an adult who is willing to join in and help them.
