Hi 63-66 Classmates
We aren’t getting any younger, so we thought it was time for another celebration. A group of us has come together to organise this huge party, otherwise known as a school reunion. This three-day celebration has been set for June 14, 15, and 16, 2024. We are very excited; it is going to be HUGE, so SAVE THE DATE, as we would love to have you join us!!
Program
Friday 14 June 2024
Gather at Historic Hydro at 6pm for drinks and pizzas. Pizzas are included in the overall cost. For those arriving Friday afternoon and for all the locals it will be a great opportunity to catch up before the reunion commences.
Saturday 15 June 2024
Official Dinner at 6.00 for 6.30pm at Leeton Soldiers Club Auditorium. Included in price. Gala 3 Course Dinner, school memorabilia display, networking, stories, official photographer.
Sunday 16 June 2024
Brunch at 10.30am at Leeton Soldiers Club in the Coffee Lounge. A large Fruit Platter will be provided, and everyone will order their own Cappuccino, Toasted Sandwich, etc.
Cost
The cost for the weekend will be $100 per person, inclusive. The cost covers dinner on Saturday evening, pizzas on Friday night, a fruit platter on Sunday, venue hire on Saturday, a ticketing fee, an official photographer on Saturday evening Dinner, table arrangements and decorations, printing and stationery, preparation and printing of the display items, a celebration cake, and other incidentals.
If anyone has special dietary requirements please add details so we can organise alternatives.
Displays & Memorabilia
We are setting up a display of history and memorabilia for our reunion, as well as an electronic presentation. We are therefore keen to receive copies of any photos, stories or information which will assist us in putting together an interesting display. We need to have all this by 30 May at the latest.
All photos, display material, stories and memorabilia that we receive will be scanned, used and then made available to everyone on a file sharing program online. The link to this online site will be made available to everyone.
We have hired an official photographer for the dinner on Saturday evening. Please make use of this opportunity and get lots of happy snaps. These and other photos we take during the weekend will also be shared online.
We have an LHS Reunion Facebook page where we are sharing photos and reunion details; it is proving very popular! Please like our page to keep up with all the details.
If you can't make the reunion, we still want you to feel part of it, so please give us your updated contact information so we can send you the stuff from the reunion including the link to all the photos and memorabilia. We would also welcome messages.
Accommodation
A list of accommodations is HERE for your convenience, and we urge you to book soon. If you have difficulties with accommodation, please let us know as some of us are only too happy to act as hosts.
RSVP
Everyone must register and pay for their tickets by Friday, 31 May 2024, for catering purposes and to assist the VOLUNTEER committee in finalising arrangements.
