Event description
Guidelines for Pet Competition at Leeton Pride Festival
Welcome to the Pride Festival's Pet Competition! We are thrilled to have you and your furry, feathered, or scaly friends join us in celebrating diversity and love. To ensure a fun and safe experience for everyone, please take a moment to review our guidelines:
1. Registration: All participants must register their pets in advance. Registration can be completed online or at the festival entrance. Each pet must have an assigned number for identification.
2. Eligibility: The competition is open to pets of all species, sizes, and breeds. We welcome dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and other exotic pets. However, pets must be well-behaved and accustomed to being around crowds and other animals.
3. Health and Safety: Owners are responsible for their pet's health. Please ensure your pet is up-to-date with vaccinations and free from contagious diseases. Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier at all times for their safety and the safety of others.
4. Categories: The competition will feature several categories, such as "Best Costume," "Most Talented," "Best Trick," and "Best in Show." Participants can enter their pets in multiple categories.
5. Judging Criteria: Judging will be based on creativity, presentation, and the pet's comfort and confidence. Our panel of judges will include animal experts and community members.
6. Costumes and Props: Costumes should be comfortable and safe for your pet. Avoid using materials that could cause harm or discomfort. Props are allowed, but they must be manageable and not pose a risk to other participants.
7. Behavior: Pets must exhibit friendly behavior throughout the event. Aggressive or disruptive pets may be disqualified. Owners are expected to clean up after their pets and maintain control at all times.
8. Awards and Prizes: Winners in each category will receive trophies and prizes. All participants will receive a participation ribbon and a small gift as a token of appreciation.
9. Photography and Media: There will be photographers and media present. By participating, you consent to your pet's image being used for promotional purposes.
10. Respect and Inclusivity: This event is part of a Pride celebration. We encourage everyone to embrace the spirit of inclusivity and respect for all attendees, regardless of their background or identity.
We look forward to a day filled with fun, love, and pride. Thank you for participating in the Leeton Pride Festival's Pet Competition!
