LEILI & MAJNUN
Written and directed by Torange Yeghiazarian
Central Stage is proud to host Torange Yeghiazarian's dynamic staging of Leili & Majnun, celebrated Persian poet Nizami’s timeless tale of star-crossed lovers, often cited as source inspiration for Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. This production centers Leili’s perspective and adapts the epic poem through a unique fusion of Iranian Naghali and American musical theater. Performed in English with Persian poetry and live music.
