Lesbian Queer Capture the Flag! (Naarm/Melb)

Come join us on Tuesday 11th February at Royal Park, Carlton North for a game of CAPTURE THE FLAG! Socialise and make memories among the Lesbian/Queer Community. 

Please note: If there is severe wet weather / thunder we will postpone the game to Tuesday 18th February (6.00pm-8.00pm). 

Admin:

• Sign up to a designated team (Black, White, Red, Blue).
• Once all teams are full, the list of teams and players will be made available on Third Rodeo's instagram story.
• As a team, come up with a team name and designate a team captain. Please send names to Jessy/Third Rodeo on 10th February or earlier. 
• Please wear the colour tee you register with (Black, White, Red or Blue).
• On the day, everyone will meet at Royal Park (The pin location on Google Maps). *If the field is occupied, we will move to find a spot around the Native Grassland Circle and then Brens Oval*.
• Your captain will be given your coloured team flag and some equipment (to make a jail). The captain will determine where your home base will be. 
• Assign roles: Who will be the flag guard, who will set up jail etc.

Objective:

• One team defends their flag (Team Black) and tries to capture the opposing team's flag (Team White).
• The other team (Team White) tries to sneak onto the opposing team's (Team Black) territory and capture their flag (Team Black). 

Gameplay:

1. Territory: Each team has a designated playing area in Royal Park. Each team will set up their flag within their territory. 
2. Flags: Each team has ONE flag that they must defend and try to capture. The flags must be reachable (Not hidden in trees etc) You can only have ONE player guarding the flag at any one time and ONE player as a jail guard. The rest of the players must be attempting to capture their opponents flags.
3. Gameplay starts: Both teams line up at their respective territories. 
4. Capturing: A player from Team White can try to sneak into Team Black's territory to capture the flag. If they succeed, they must return to their own territory without getting caught.
5. Tagging out: If a player from Team White is tagged by a player from Team Black while in Team Black's territory, they are taken to Team's Black jail. 
6. Getting out of Jail: In order to be set free, a player from Team White will have to tag its jailed teammate. If you successfully tag your teammate out of jail, you get a free walk back to your territory. 
7. Flag return: If a player captures the opposing team's flag, they must return to their own territory without getting caught.
8. Scoring: A team scores when their opponent's flag is brought back to their territory.
9. Game ends: The game ends when ONE team captures the other team's flag and returns it to their territory, or when a designated time limit is reached. 

Schedule:

6.00pm - Meet at Royal Park

6.20pm - Set up flag and territory boundaries 

6.30pm - Start 

7.45pm - Finish (unless a flag is captured earlier) 

• Team Black vs Team White
• Team Red vs Team Blue 
• Therefore, Team Red does not need to get Team Black or White's flag. Only Team Blue.
• There will be only ONE team winner out of the four - winner is which ever team secures their opponents flag first. 
  
• The winning team will receive a Gelato Messina gift voucher. Designed for you guys as a team to get a sweet treat together.
