    Event description

The Leschenault Catchment Council and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation invite you to join us for an update on the health of the Leschenault Estuary.

Come along and hear about the latest science on the health of the estuary including water quality and seagrass, and the on-ground actions happening in the catchment to protect the estuary and the plants and animals that depend on it.

As part of this year's annual forum, hear from Dr Alan Cottingham, a research scientist at Murdoch University's Harry Butler Institute. His area of interest is studying the impacts of climate and other anthropogenic changes on aquatic ecosystems and, in particular, how we can monitor and remediate some of these impacts to help protect the unique aquatic ecosystems in south-western Australia.

Light nibbles provided and drinks are available for purchase at the bar.

Healthy Estuaries WA is a State Government program that aims to improve the health of our South West estuaries.
