Located in the heart of Brunswick, Little Homey is a neighbourhood café bar that blends the intimacy of a home-like environment with the vibrant energy of a creative community. Inspired by the cozy, communal atmosphere of South African shebeens, Little Homey offers a homey feel where every guest is treated like a long-lost friend. The space, filled with a collection of hip-hop & RnB records, vintage furniture, and eclectic African art, provides a warm and intimate lounge-room vibe.

Little Homey is not just a place to grab a coffee; it’s an active part of Brunswick’s cultural fabric. With monthly events like the Homey Sessions (live DJ radio streams) and Sunrise Soul Sessions (an exercise class in their courtyard every Sunday morning), Little Homey is already bringing the community together to share music, culture, and conversation. With monthly markets, local clothing brand pop-up shops, artist-run workshops, and food collaborations, there’s always something new to experience. True to its ethos of inclusivity, Little Homey is also committed to celebrating music of Black origin (MOBO), making it the only venue in Melbourne dedicated to genres such as Hip Hop, RnB, Soul, Reggae, and African music every day.

Little Homey’s diverse range of events and dedication to celebrating Black music culture isn’t restricted to the daytime. The café also transforms into a cocktail bar during its monthly events, adding an extra layer of versatility to the space.
