School Holiday Sewing Workshop: Party Bunting

In the sewing workshops on Thursday 1 October or Thursday 8 October, you will be making one length of bunting which contains 10 'flags'. The bunting is suitable for a party garland during Christmas or to decorate your room. Individual 'flags' will be in three different styles and a variety of sewing techniques will be used to give you a range of sewing experience. The individual flags will be in the shape of a rectangle, triangle or rectangle with a V cut at one end. You will have experience using fabric scissors to cut out a pattern and use pinking sheers to form a fray free edge for some pieces.

All fabrics, sewing machines and other sewing tools and haberdashery is provided as well as a scrumptious morning tea.

This workshop is for children in primary or high school, at a beginner to medium sewing level. It is designed to give children sewing tools to help them recycle and reuse fabrics, so they can continue to care for our environment and reduce fabric going to landfill.
