A budget is an essential financial management tool for small business owners. it can help you to outline your goals and track and measure your financial performance, ultimately leading to your ability to make confident financial decisions.
In this workshop you will:
- Use a case study to complete a budgeting exercise
- Consider historic trends and future assumptions to build a budget
- Explore different approaches to budgeting
- Discuss potential issues when budgeting
- Learn to review and reforecast
This workshop uses the Colour Accounting Learning System as licensed from Wealthvox. Please be advised that this online workshop will not be recorded.
For this workshop you will need to bring a calculator, pen, and notepad. Online attendees will need to print their handbook before the session starts.
This topic covers:
- Understanding the importance of the budget process, key drivers and assumptions for your budget
- Practical tips for improving the budget process in your business
- Building your confidence to make informed financial decisions that steer you towards better outcomes and increased profitability.
This session is for business owners with a limited understanding of the budgeting process. This workshop is designed for attendees with an intermediate level of business finance knowledge - if you are a beginner we recommend attending Let's Talk Finance or Understanding Business Financials first.
The facilitator of this topic, DHM Coaching and Consulting helps business owners make better informed decisions by building their understanding and confidence around the financials of their business. Debbie Millard has a reputation for being able to explain accounting concepts in plain language making it easier to understand by those with a non-finance background.

Bookings are limited to two tickets each, however you can make more than one booking. If you are booking for more than one person, please provide each person's email address so they receive our emails with important links and downloads.

If you cannot attend, please cancel so your place can be made available to another business owner. You can cancel your booking from the update order button on your order confirmation email. Cancellations and refunds for paid workshops can be made up to 24 hours before the workshop starts.
