Let's Celebrate Local - Chin Wagon
Event description
Pull up a seat at Let’s Celebrate Local - Chin Wagon, where storytelling is the theme.
Share your story, listen to others, and make new connections with your community through the awesome power of storytelling.
The Chin Wagon is rolling into Arlunya Park, bringing master storyteller and ABC Weekends host, Andrea Gibbs, who will be capturing your personal stories. Step into the Chin Wagon mobile recording studio to share your “Connection to Cloverdale” and add your voice to the conversation.
But that's not all! Arty Brellas, led by Tricia Stedman and her talented team, will be hosting a one-of-a-kind art activity where you can paint your story onto a parasol. Take home a beautiful keepsake that’s sure to be a conversation piece!
Caffienation will be there, serving up delicious coffee to keep you energised (the first 100 are free!), and later on, Acai Addict will join us to serve up mouth-watering acai bowls – free until supplies run out, so be sure to grab one while you can!
Throughout the day, you’ll have the chance to meet our Belmont Museum team and Community Safety team, who’ll be popping by to say hello and have a chat about what they're up to in the City of Belmont.
Join us for an unforgettable day of stories, art, and community connection, and discover the true power of a good old chin wag!
