Description

Everyone has a story worth telling — this evening is about finding yours.

Part storytelling event, part conversation evening, part creative writing workshop, Let's Get Personal is an invitation to explore personal storytelling in warm, low-pressure company. Through guided conversation prompts and practical tips on finding, shaping, and telling a story, you'll uncover moments from your own life worth sharing — and discover you've been a storyteller all along.

The evening ends with an optional opportunity to put your exploration into practice on the iconic Bard's Apothecary stage.

All welcome. Come with an open mind, an open heart, curiosity, and a willingness to support others in finding and sharing their stories.

About your Hosts

Amy Han is the founder of Words of a Feather, a creative writing studio for all ages and stages, based in Balwyn North and online. She is also the instigator of Wander Library, a community-owned library and creative space coming soon to Mont Albert Village. Amy is the author of the memoir A Field of Stars: Finding My Way Along the Camino de Santiago (2026) and the middle-grade novel The Yard Sale at Story House (2024). Her work is grounded in the belief that everyone is creative, and everyone is a storyteller — her workshops and events help people uncover their stories, nurture their imaginative joy, and find the confidence to tell those stories in a way that does them justice.
