Lets Make a Lino-cut Print #2 (1 Day Workshop)

Linocut 2 – Intermediate level

Suitable for those who have done the Lino 1 workshop or already have basic linocut skills.

In this 4 hour workshop we will introduce further techniques for printmaking with multiple colours. We will make ‘jigsaw’ lino plates and learn how to layer with ‘multi-plate’ techniques, as well as discussing a little colour theory, registration and editioning.

Covering:-

• Brief overview of basics & safety.
• Introducing more colours- 3 methods
• Bit of colour theory
• Ombre
• Jigsaw
• Multi-plate
• Registration methods on the press and by hand
• Editioning

Please bring an apron, disposable gloves and wear closed in shoes.

Lino/paper and tools are supplied but please bring your own if preferred

Morning tea/coffee/milk and biscuits is supplied

(we have a Nespresso coffee pod machine if you would like to bring your own pods)

We use the Humanitix ticketing platform to help us manage our workshops and classes. Humanitix charge a booking fee which we split with you 50/50. Humanitix is a registered charity and 100% of their profits go to social impact projects with a particular focus on closing the education gap.
