    WALGA, in partnership with Perth NRM and the ReWild Perth program, invites you to attend an Urban ReWilding Workshop.

    Date: Thursday 23 November 2023
    Time: 1:00pm to 4.00pm
    Venue: Perth Zoo, 20 Labouchere Rd, South Perth WA 6151 - Please enter via reception, to the left of the main public entrance.

    Please join us to discuss the role of residents in greening and supporting biodiversity in Perth, and how to meaningfully empower and enable local community to take action.

    Information covered will include:

    WALGA update

    • advocacy Policy Positions that support strategic alignment to the ReWild Perth program, including urban forests, public open space, climate change and biosecurity
    • projects and resources to support local biodiversity conservation

    ReWild Perth workshop

    • ReWild Perth Local Government value proposition
    • interactive consultation workshop on ReWild Perth program, including required services and projects, and Local Government engagement strategy
    • opportunity to register partnership interest or commitment for the 2024-26 program

    Perth Zoo engagement programs

    • education and conservation programs.

    Speakers include Melanie Davies, WALGA Environment Policy Officer; Hannah Gulliver, Perth NRM ReWild Perth Program Manager; and Joselyn Juraszek, Perth Zoo Manager Discovery and Learning.

    The workshop is relevant for local government environment, community and communications teams. Due to limited capacity, please select 3-4 representative from your LGA.

    Afternoon tea will be provided.
