Silver Rainbow LGBTI Inclusive Workshop

Silver Rainbow supports aged care organisations to build more inclusive and welcoming services for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI+) older people.

Silver Rainbow training gives staff at all levels the knowledge and confidence to provide respectful, culturally safe and person-centred care, while helping organisations embed inclusion into everyday practice.

Our training can also support organisations to meet the requirements of the Aged Care Act, Quality Standards and Statement of Rights.

Support your staff to:

·         Increase understanding of the lived experience of LGBTI older people.

·         Increase knowledge of aged care sector requirements and their application to providing inclusive care.

·         Increase knowledge and skills in providing inclusive environments for LGBTI older people accessing aged care services.

·         Introduce principles of person centred and trauma-informed care, and application to supporting LGBTI older people.

·         Increase skills in communicating effectively and respectfully with LGBTI older people.
