    We're thrilled to invite you to a series of training sessions focused on LGBTIQA+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy inclusion, supporting LGBTIQA+ service delivery in Gurambilbarra Townsville. 🌈✨

    The training sessions will take place on May 16th and 17th at James Cook University's Douglas campus in Townsville. The schedule is as follows:

    Thursday, May 16th:

    • 8:30am – 12:00pm: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Intersex, Queer (LGBTIQ+) Sistergirl and Brotherboy Awareness Training.
    • 1:00pm – 5:00pm: Introduction to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy Identities and Culturally Responsive Practice.

    Friday, May 17th:

    • 8:30am – 12:00pm: Silver Rainbow: LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy Inclusive Practice Training for the Aged Care Sector.
    • 1:00pm – 5:00pm: Queer Without Fear: LGBTIQ+ Sistergirl and Brotherboy Inclusive Practice Training for the Domestic Violence Sector.

    The training will be held in Room 030, Building 145 at James Cook University. It is free to attend, and catering will be provided. However, please keep in mind that numbers are limited, so we encourage you to RSVP as soon as possible to secure your spot.

    This training is proudly funded by the Queensland Government and supported by the Townsville City Council. It will be delivered by the Queensland Council for LGBTI Health & 2Spirits, organizations with extensive experience in LGBTIQA+ inclusion and support.
