Ecstatic Dance is a freestyle community dance experience where we leave words, booze, and phones at the door and immerse ourselves in pure, authentic movement. Together, we create a safe, inclusive, and sacred space to shake off the weight of the world, let go, and connect deeply with the rhythm of incredible music.

With a live DJ Jazzy @djjazzykappa and a fantastic sound system you’re in for an unforgettable journey.Expect a mix of music designed to keep you anchored in the present and moving freely. From soft, soulful melodies to powerful basslines, to sound healing vibes the experience is a full-spectrum journey for your body, mind, and spirit.To begin, we'll share a delicious cacaol to warm our bodies, open our hearts , and guide us into a state of blissful connection.The journey culminates with a soothing sound bowl meditatio allowing you to rest, integrate, and leave feeling grounded and renewed.

🌀 What to Expect

This is a 90-minute guided dance journey where you connect with yourself through movement, led by your body’s innate wisdom.

The session will begin with a warm-up and welcome 🌞and a warming cacao ☕, an immersive dance journey 🎶 mixed live by an experienced DJ 🎧, and concludes with a calming sound bowl meditation 🕉️ to bring you back to stillness.

Some people move energetically across the floor, while others prefer more subtle movements. Let your body guide you. 💃🕺 Though there’s no talking, communication is alive—use eye contact 👀 or movement if you feel like dancing with someone, and honour their space if they’re in their own zone.

Respect yourself, others, and the space as emotions arise. Love a track? Dance your heart out! 💓 Don’t like one? Explore what it stirs within you. It’s all part of the journey.

Once inside, honour the no-words, no-phones intention to stay fully present.

About DJ Jazzy Kappa (Helen Reed)

A DJ, sound alchemist, and movement facilitator, DJ Jazzy Kappa (Helen Reed) weaves together deep beats, rhythm, and flow to create an immersive dance journey unlike any other. With over 25 years of experience in the DJ scene, Helen has spun at some of Sydney’s most iconic venues, boat parties, corporate events, and retro nights, as well as transformational retreats and gatherings.

Helen’s passion extends beyond the decks. As a tantra yoga teacher, embodiment coach, and sound healing practitioner, she curates experiences that go beyond music—activating energy, unlocking emotions, and guiding dancers into deep connection with themselves. Whether through the hypnotic rhythms of live DJ sets, the soulful sounds of her saxophone, or the vibrational healing of sound bowls, she brings a multi-sensory journey of movement, sound, and stillness.

Her signature style blends tribal beats, electronic grooves, organic sounds, and breath-infused rhythms, inviting you to let go, move freely, and tune into the wisdom of your body. Expect a journey of pure expression, joy, and release, culminating in a grounding sound meditation to integrate the experience.
