The Indigenous Driver Licensing Unit is coming to Mornington Island to help you get a driver licence or ID without having to travel far.

We can help you:

take the test for a learner licence
take the test for a car or truck licence
get your licence back if you had one before
check if your licence is still valid
get a photo ID card.

Getting your licence or ID can help you get around safely, find work and have more independence.

Come along and see us while we're in Mornington Island.

Important: You'll need to complete the Hazard Perception Test before you can do a practical driving test. You'll also need to provide your own vehicle for a driving test, as we don't supply one.
