About: Capture the form of the human body developing perception of perspective, light, shade and foreshortening no
experience necessary.
A series of timed sketches of a live model, ranging from two minutes to twenty minutes approximately, starting with
quick sketches designed to be loose and flowing progressing to longer more detailed drawings. The workshop is
designed to improve your objectivity in your art practice.

Tutor Bio: Lesley Whale holds a BA Hons degree in Illustration/Graphic Design from Brighton, UK. She has
extensive experience in publishing, newspapers, and magazines, designing book jackets, page layouts, and illustra6ng
a range of books, including technical and medical texts. Since migrating to Australia in 1989, Lesley has pursued her
artistic passions, exhibiting in the Basil Sellers Exhibition Centre and local exhibitions. She enjoys sharing her expertise
in composition, design, colour, and painting techniques with fellow artists.
