6 Week Course Life Drawing

Welcome to our 6 Week Beginner Life Drawing Course. This course is designed for people who want to enjoy a creative evening once a week and learn something completely new. We welcome all skill levels, but our language is targeted specifically at those who have never experienced Life Drawing before. The course will run over 6 weeks on Wednesday evenings at the Cab Canvas Studio in Myaree.

In this 6 week course, we will introduce you to a variety of materials and techniques, and aim to give you the basic skills to be able to draw from life (yes - this includes nude models!). You will be guided by our In-house Sketch-pert, Brittany Manifis, who has completed her Fine Arts B. A and post- secondary Diploma in Education. The knowledge we will share with you here are skills you learn at university level, but with our much loved social twist.

What you need to know:

Where: The Cab Canvas Studio (2/17 Hulme Court, Myaree)

When: Wednesday nights for six weeks, beginning 1st of June.

Time: Class starts at 6:30pm

Duration: Class will run for approximately 2- 3 hours.

What to wear: Charcoal can be messy, so no white pants!

Please respect that due to the nature of the event, no photos will be permitted.

About Cabernet & Canvas

Our classes are designed to be fun, social and achievable for beginners. Come on your own or bring a friend. Our artist will guide you through the process of approaching a model and give you suggestions on techniques to use. Anyone and everyone is welcome, no prior experience required.

About the Venue

We paint upstairs on the mezzanine level and as such, we regret to inform that there is no disability access.
There will be drinks available for purchase at the bar, so B.Y.O is not permitted, sorry.
There is plenty of parking out the front in Hulme Court and many restaurants around if you want to head out afterward.
