Fresh Eyes is a welcoming creative gathering where people come together to slow down, observe, draw, and connect.

Held on the second Thursday of every month at Ellington's Wine Bar, Ballarat, these relaxed evenings invite you to experience life drawing in a warm, inclusive atmosphere. Whether you're picking up a pencil for the first time or have years of drawing experience, you're welcome here.

Guided by Creative Arts Therapist and artist Corrie Nantes, each evening offers the opportunity to explore the human figure through observation, curiosity, and creative expression. There is no pressure to create a perfect drawing, only an invitation to see with fresh eyes.

What's Included

• Professional life model

• All experience levels welcome

• Paper, pencils and charcoal provided

• You're welcome to bring your own dry drawing materials (please no paint)

• Food and drinks available to purchase from the bar
  

Time

Doors open from 6:30 pm so you can settle in, enjoy a drink or meal, and connect with others.

Life drawing begins promptly at 7:00 pm - 9pm

Accessibility & Inclusion

We believe creativity should be accessible to everyone. Each gathering includes a small number of Community Access Tickets at a reduced price to help reduce financial barriers.

Please note that Ellington's Wine Bar is located upstairs and access is via stairs only. Unfortunately, there is currently no lift access. If you have any questions about accessibility or would like to discuss your individual needs before attending, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

Participants under 18 years of age are welcome but must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the event. As this is a life drawing event featuring a nude model, we encourage parents and guardians to consider whether the event is appropriate for the young person attending.

Tickets are non-refundable. If you can no longer attend, you are welcome to gift or privately resell your ticket; however, Expressive Health is not responsible for facilitating resale. Refunds are not available for cancellations or late arrivals.
