Life Drawing with Katie Thornton
Description
Try your hand at life drawing!
Although challenging, drawing directly from the human form is incredibly rewarding. It is a foundational skill that can inform any creative endeavour or artistic practice.
Students will be drawing directly from the model observing their weight, form, line and presence.
A variety of approaches will be taught in the class including working gesturally using willow charcoal and also working in finer detail with pencil, pen and ink.
This is a class that is aimed to encourage and strengthen your drawing practice. No matter what your ability is - anyone interested in drawing is welcome.
The life drawing classes are split into two blocks of three sessions (Tuesdays, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm):
Block 1: July 21, 28 & August 4
