Life Drawing & Writing - On Instinct

Step into an performative experience, an intimate life drawing and reflective writing session where observation becomes a practice of presence - synchronising the body that draws and the body that poses. This women-only session nurtures a supportive, cultural space to explore the human form, your own body awareness, and creative expression amongst others.
Our theme is INSTINCT. Through silent observation of the muse as she covers herself in red mud sourced from Bunurong Country, you are invited to be receptive to your own ancestral instincts, and the nature of instinct itself. The life drawing and writing will unfold in silence.
What to Expect:
A guiding card to support you in your session, with prompts of the following :
- Gentle drawing warm-ups to focus attention and senses
- Guided meditation for focus and ease in the body and mind
- Life drawing and writing prompts on the theme of instinct with intervals.
You have the freedom to draw, write, or move intuitively between practices. We encourage you to follow your instincts.
Whether you are a novice, returning artist, or curious creative, this workshop offers a low-pressure, reflective space to engage with embodiment, mindful artistic practice, and self-expression.

Paper, charcoal, pencils, and drawing boards provided (or bring your own), paper provided, including tracing paper
Bread, olive oil, vegan butter and seasonal tea included
