Life ends, but paperwork continues

When someone dies, there is more to manage than many people realise. Alongside making arrangements for a cremation or burial, a range of important forms, approvals and legal responsibilities must be completed.

Join Halie Halloran, Managing Director of Paperbark Funerals and Deathcare, and Tweed Shire Council Cemetery staff for this free 45-minute presentation that explains the paperwork involved in funeral arrangements and what families, executors and interment right holders need to know.

Topics will include:

What information a funeral director will require when arranging a cremation or burial
Pre-arranged burial and ash interment plots
Funeral and cemetery paperwork completed on your behalf
Who is responsible for signing cremation and burial documentation
The role of statutory declarations
The responsibilities of an executor
What happens to paperwork once it is submitted
Interment rights and associated responsibilities
Requirements for ash interments and burial or ash reservations

Whether you are updating your estate plans, supporting ageing parents, or simply wanting to understand the process, this session will provide practical information and the opportunity to ask questions in a supportive environment.

Following the presentation, enjoy a free morning tea on the chapel balcony, where speakers will be available for informal discussion.

Registration is essential. Reserve your place today and gain the knowledge to navigate funeral and cemetery arrangements with greater confidence.
