Event description

The Life of Argyle reunion is a private event that has been organised by a small team of ex-Argyle employees to celebrate the people who worked at Argyle from construction to mine closure. Numbers are limited, therefore it is a night for past and present employees/contractors to share nearly 40 years of fond memories of this unique workplace.

This event is not sanctioned or financially supported by Argyle Diamonds nor Rio Tinto. It is a not for profit event with ticket prices including venue, set up and food. Drinks will be available for purchase on the night.

The reunion is on 23rd October 2021, starting at 6pm and concluding at 11.30pm. It is located in the Sports Lounge at Optus Stadium. Entrance is through Gate A where your ticket will be scanned. Gates for entry are open between 5.30pm and 7.30pm.

Bring along a smile and a story and have a great time. For some of us it has been many years so we ask that you wear your name badge (feel free to include your nickname).

Refund policy

Should the event be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances including government restrictions (Covid19) the event may be re-scheduled. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled event, the ticket price minus processing fees will be refunded. Should the event have limited numbers imposed due to social distancing the event may go ahead, or it may be rescheduled. If it goes ahead, first tickets purchased will be first in the door. Those unable to attend will have the ticket price minus processing fees refunded. The venue has a crowd capacity of approximately 800, however due to COVID restrictions it currently has a capacity of 650. An additional 200 can be accommodated on the terrace, therefore if numbers exceed 650, an extension to the hired space may be available at additional cost. Tickets purchased after this capacity is reached may incur the additional costs. These costs are yet to be determined. If over 650 tickets have been sold, the option to go on a waitlist will be offered. If the number on the waitlist is significant, the option for an extension to the hired space will be explored and those on the waitlist will be notified via email and advised the additional cost with the option to purchase a ticket. There will be no refunds for non-attendance or cancellation, except as per above.
