Headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation for 12-25 year-olds. Each year, they help thousands of young people, and their family and friends, access vital support through their headspace services in over 154 communities across Australia. They are able to engage and support young people through their online and phone counselling services, their vocational services, and their presence in schools.
Carer Gateway has a range of free in-person, phone, and online services to support young carers. Recent research has shown that there are 2-3 young carers in every class room. Young carers help their friends, family members and loved ones who have a disability, mental health condition, chronic health issue or who are frail due to age. Carer Gateway supports young people by linking them to practical support as well as a range of fun and inclusive activities.
