Event description

FREE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE BETWEEN 15-18 WHO LIVE IN KIAMA LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA!!!

This program is an opportunity for young people to connect with other young people and pick up some life skills to deal with the physical, emotional, social and psychological changes happening in their lives right now.

Or program is mapped to the Department of Education’s Life Ready Program, but it doesn’t matter which school you go to, or even if you go to school. EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

If you want more information on how it links to the curriculum, or you need to talk to your school about getting the days off, download the brochure from this link, and send us an email and we will get in touch with your school.

PLEASE NOTE, KIAMA HIGH SCHOOL HAS ALREADY APPROVED THE DAYS OFF FOR THIS PROGRAM.

ALSO, PLEASE NOT THAT THIS IS NOT A MENTAL HEALTH SERVICE.

It is designed to prepare and support youth as they encounter situations related to health and safety as they become more independent and gain more responsibilities.

The program helps participants increase confidence, self-esteem and motivation. They develop self-awareness, emotional intelligence and stronger relationships. They build resilience, mental health literacy and meaningful peer support networks as they create a concrete vision for the future and set up their own plan for achieving it!

This program is funded by the Youth Opportunities Grant from the Department of Communities and Justice.
