Join artist Kirralee Robinson and Chris Hagen from Grey Hand Press for a hands-on Print Workshop exploring light as material, process, and collaborator.

In this workshop, Chris will guide participants through light-sensitive printmaking techniques that use light and sculptural objects to create unique images, introducing alternative photographic processes that engage with the surrounding environment.

Informed by ecofeminism, speculative science fiction, and conservation practices, Kirralee’s Robinsons work responds to the climate emergency by valuing care, reuse, and connection with the more-than-human world. This workshop invites participants of all experience levels to experiment, learn, and reflect on how light, matter, and perception shape the present moment.

Grey Hand Press is a printmaking studio which provides contract printing and publishing options for local and international artists. Our mission is to make printmaking an accessible medium for artists, and to provide fine art print education to printmakers of all ages. Working from a foundation in traditional techniques, we are equally motivated to innovate experimental and hybrid approaches in response to the needs of our artists or in the interest of furthering best practices in the region.

ACCESSIBILITY: The gallery is wheelchair accessible from the Brunswick St entrance. Please note due to current building works at the Judith Wright Arts Centre, the passenger lift is not usable. Bathrooms can be accessed from the Level 1 courtyard entrance of the Judith Wright Arts Centre.
