Light offering - Death Festival
Description
Join us for our first Death Festival at The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion!
It will be a warm and welcoming family event where we’ll come together embracing life and honoring death. Some of the activities include a light offering and the creation of a community altar to honor our loved ones who have passed away.
Offering light is one of the most powerful gestures, as it symbolizes wisdom. Much like a lamp that banishes darkness, presenting the light of a lamp signifies the removal of ignorance.
We will light the lamps for our loved ones who have passed, hoping to ease their journey after death, with the wish that they connect positively with a genuine spiritual path in the future.
You have the option to sponsor one or multiple light offerings, which can be dedicated to a loved one who has passed away or to someone facing health challenges.
We also encourage everyone to bring pictures of their loved ones to place them on the community altar.
We look forward to sharing this meaningful experience with you.
