Light Up LilyPads (Ages 6-10)
Event description
Get crafty these winter holidays with Light Up LilyPads! A hands-on workshop where kids will create stunning paper waterlilies and glowing lily pads inspired by nature and light.
Using colourful cardstock, leafy cut-outs, and safe LED tea lights, participants will design their own floating garden of illuminated blooms. A perfect blend of art, design, and a little paper engineering magic.
Two dates - Tues 15 and Thurs 17 July.
FREE. Kids to be accompanied by a supervising adult.
Laura Jade is a passionate STEAM educator and interdisciplinary artist with over 15 years of experience designing and delivering hands-on, curiosity-driven workshops for young people. With a background in fine arts, biology, and technology, she specialises in blending science and creativity to spark imagination and foster inquiry-based learning. Her workshops range from robotics and circuitry to natural systems, botany, sculpture, lighting and interactive art—always with a strong emphasis on playful exploration and experiential learning.
