LIGHT26: THE GIFT
Description
360 Faith events are opportunities for young adults to connect, grow and inspire. They involve worship, hanging out and having Jesus-focused conversations with Christians from other churches in a local area. The second 360 Faith event for Southern Sydney in 2026 is LIGHT and it's all about helping young adults put their faith into action at work and in their neighbourhoods.
The theme of this year's LIGHT event is "The Gift". Work was given to humans as a gift, an opportunity to bring beauty, order and abundance into the world. The reality of our work, however, is often quite different. Instead of being places of purpose and connection, our workplaces (and our neighbourhoods) can often be places of frustration and disharmony. Christians have an incredible opportunity, therefore, to bring renewal in Jesus' name and help others rediscover the gift of work (and life) as God intended.
The main session will feature worship, inspiring testimonies and breakout groups to give young adults time to connect with others doing similar types of work, for example:
Health & Emergency Services
Corporate & Finance
Technology (ICT & Science)
Education & Training
Trades & Personal Services
Christian Ministry & Social Work
Arts, Media & Entertainment
And Everything Else!
There will also be heaps of time on the night to hang out and connect, and we'll be launching new "Community Connect" groups for the second half of the year.
Event schedule:
6:30pm: Doors open, social hang time
7:30pm: Session starts (worship, testimonies)
8:15pm: Breakout groups
9:15pm: Wrap up & send out
9:30pm: Social hang time
10:30pm: Event ends
Registration for this event is free, with the opportunity to give a donation towards the cost of the event (either at registration or on the night).
Note: in that first hour (from 6:30-7:30pm) you're welcome to bring your own dinner and eat it at the church, or alternately, choose the "plus pizza" ticket option on the rego form and for $10 we'll have half a pizza ready for you to eat at 7pm! (choose from Margherita, Meatlovers, BBQ Chicken or Supreme)
