Rudhyar is a pivotal figure who stands at the crossroads between esoteric and psychological astrology. Influenced by Alice Bailey, C. G. Jung, Aurobindo, Roberto Assagioli, and astrologer Marc Edmund Jones, Rudhyar was a trailblazer who formed a completely original vision of astrology emphasizing the study of cyclical development and evolution. He also linked astrology to ideas about creativity and transpersonal activity.

For a spiritual tune-up, we’ll discuss and contemplate a few inspirational passages from the work of Dane Rudhyar, in honor of his Jupiter return and Saturn and Neptune conjunct his natal Aries Sun in 2025.

Participants are encouraged to study Chapter 3 of Greg’s book, Planets in Therapy, “Rudhyar’s Astrology in Plain Language.” There is also an informative website dedicated to Rudhyar, www.khaldea.com, curated by his student Michael Meyer, author of Handbook for the Humanistic Astrologer.

About Greg Bogart:

Greg Bogart, PhD, MFT is a San Francisco Bay Area astrologer and psychotherapist, and teaches in the psychology department of Sonoma State University. Greg corresponded for several years with the philosopher-sage Dane Rudhyar, founder of humanistic astrology. He has presented on humanistic, transpersonal, and therapeutic astrology at conferences internationally. Greg’s work unifies astrology, hatha yoga, Jungian depth psychology and dream interpretation, and psychotherapeutic methods. His newest work is Astrology as a Therapeutic Art: Healing Human Relationships.
