Come down and party with us ❤️ There will be amplified music and shiny lights for the duration of the event. We also will be filming a little doco about putting the party together and what people think and the likes, if you don't want to be on camera for any reason just let us know and we'll do our best to blur/remove you from any footage we end up using :)

This event takes place on beautiful Kaurna Yarta. It's crucial we acknowledge Kaurna Mob’s living sovereignty and ongoing relationship with this country, especially when it's land we're dancing on. The Karrawirra Parri is a key piece of both past and ongoing Kaurna Culture, and we must acknowledge the violent colonial history of this space. In hosting this event we hope to provoke questions about the roles we all play in upholding and perpetrating colonial violence in contemporary culture. We believe ideas of kinship and shared responsibility are crucial to this fight! So, please be kind to this place and the people on it; always aim to leave things nicer than you found them and be open to learning!

Some important knowledge for this event: Lightning Bridge aka Karntu Waadlakatha is one of many places in Tarntanyangga/adelaide that actually have a dual name! This is because in 2006 Kaurna Elder Uncle Lewis o'Brien, gave Kaurna names to many important places around the CBD (for public use). As of writing this I don't know the history of lightning bridge, but it is surrounded by some key locations of colonial violence in the settler history of this place, namely the gaol and the golf course aka Pirltawardli. By kicking up the dirt with our feet we make history airborne, there is real weight to that and we hope you don't take it lightly.  - If you know any history of the bridge / know about some resources, let us know rugclub@nook.quest :)

This event is free, but your (optional) support makes it easier for us to pay our expenses and makes us more excited about doing more parties in the future.

We're also aware of another party happening just around the corner, check out @telesonica.dance for details to that!
