🖤 DANCE FITNESS IN THE DARK 🖤
Welcome to Lights Out And Dance, your new favourite thing to do each week!
Lights Out is your time to dance in the dark each week, for yourself. The Lights Out tribe is a joyous community of individuals connected by a love of music & dancing. We love the freedom & exhilaration of dancing in the dark & exercising at our own pace. We’re mostly women 40+ with different fitness levels & body shapes but we value our tribe & our weekly dance!
Dancing is the greatest way to keep our minds, bodies, and souls healthy; especially at times of heightened stress, anxiety, and boredom. As research suggests, the health benefits of dancing are endless. Dancing supports improved mental health and well-being and helps to reduce the effects of depression while supporting weight loss. Dancing is said to also aid in strong bones and reducing the risk of osteoporosis, better coordination, agility, and flexibility, as well as providing a space to increase one’s self-esteem and provide a fun and healthy activity.

Lights Out And Dance is your time to dance, just for you. So, don't be shy, join our tribe today be part of something inclusive and genuinely unique, you won't regret it!
When the lights go out, we don’t care what we look like, how we dance or what anyone else thinks.  In the dark, we truly let go of inhibitions and JUST DANCE.
You should try it sometime, it’s bloody brilliant!
We are incredibly proud to be dancing on the traditional lands of the Yugambeh-Bundjalung peoples, including the Kombumerri, Mununjali, Wangerriburra on the Gold Coast, and the Wulgurukaba peoples on Magnetic Island; who have been dancing in the dark for centuries! We pay our respects to all First Nations peoples, elders and ancestors. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and stand in solidarity towards a shared future.
