Welcome back to our fourth art club !
Join us for a night of inspiration and artistry in colours.
Led by Alexa, Anthony & Musonga
Alexa is an artist based on Ngunnawal and Ngambri land, currently completing my Bachelor in Visual Arts at the Australian National University. Working with various materials and particularly focusing on how paint and the interest of still life can join to create an artwork. Alexa is inspired by the works of Sophie Tea and Jean-Micheal Basquiat and merging these two inspirations to form pieces that combine the natural world with a sense of false reality.
Through his deeply personal and introspective work, Anthony Chicco explores themes of resilience, identity, and healing. From launching a skateboard brand to opening a gallery supporting artists with disabilities, his journey has been shaped by transformation and perseverance. His art challenges oppressive norms, weaving raw emotion and floral motifs to symbolise renewal and a redefined sense of masculinity.
Musonga’s vibrant work bridges cultures and mediums, celebrating stories through unique visuals and motifs. Over his career, he has collaborated on remarkable projects, including installations for the Canberra Hospital, Triple J, and the Ace Hotel Sydney.
