Lily Pad Book Club November 2026

Lily Pad Book Club

Welcome to Lily Pad book Club, a Newcastle based book club hosting monthly events to discuss all things non fiction, classics, politics, and theory. A space to discuss everything from the writing style of Virginia Woolf to the analysis of capitalism, all in good company and a drink in hand.

Event Description

Join us this September at Shout Brewing Co for our Book Club! This month the group will be discussing Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, the famous classic follows a woman through a single day preparing for a party in London.

Through streams of consciousness, the plot explores themes of time, identity, belonging, mental illness, and societal constraints. The novel uncovers deep discoveries about human connection and individual existence, all written in the style that made Woolf as famous as she is.

Bring yourself along, grab a drink, and settle in for an evening of discussion with some fellow book lovers.

Whats included?

• Your seat for an evening chatting all things books with thoughtfully written discussion questions

• A drink on arrival, choose from any of the breweries craft beers, local wines, or non alc options
