Oamaru Stone Carving

Want to have a go at sculpting Oamaru Stone into something beautiful? Here's your chance! 

This 2 day workshop (10am - 5pm both days) is suitable for beginners. Experienced Oamaru Stone carver Peter Green will show you how to sculpt a koru with limestone then you will be able to design and work on your own patterns as well.  

Oamaru Stone will be provided and some tools to share also. If you have any of the tools pictured below, please bring them along. 

We will be working in a large garage at Hakatere Marae so wrap up warm. Only 10 places available so get in quick! If the $40 fee is prohibitive, there are a couple of tickets available where you can select what you can afford to pay.

Please bring your lunch with you each day and any of the following tools, if you have them.
Eye protection is also recommended.
