Limestone Consort perform Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus
Event description
Limestone Consort is a chamber ensemble based in Canberra, which formed in 2012 out of a desire to perform baroque music. The group enjoys performing all periods of music and its players are both professional and semi-professional musicians. The core members of the Consort are Lauren Davis and Michelle Higgs (violin), Clara Teniswood (cello) and Ariana Odermatt (Harpsichord). For this concert they are joined by John Ma (viola d’amore) and Jennifer Brian (baroque flute).
Singers Greta Claringbould, Maartje Sevenster and Jade McFaul will team up with Limestone Consort to perform Vivaldi's Nisi Dominus RV803. Don't miss the chance to hear this Nisi Dominus, alongside other works by Vivaldi and by Graupner.
Many of the members of Limestone Consort, and singers, performed with the Canberra Bach Ensemble, to great acclaim, at the Leipzig Bach Festival in Germany earlier this year. It is a couple of years since Limestone Consort last performed in Braidwood, so this enlarged ensemble is a real treat and a performance NOT TO BE MISSED! Get in quickly as seating is limited.
