Liminal; as day gives way to dusk
Description
A candlelit evening devoted to deep rest, gentle ritual and returning home to yourself.
As the year draws towards its close and the festive season unfolds around us, life can begin to feel a little fuller. There are gatherings to attend, gifts to organise, people to see and expectations to navigate. Amongst the joy and celebration, there can also be moments of overwhelm, complicated family dynamics, grief, or simply the quiet exhaustion of another year coming to an end.
And somewhere amongst all the giving, planning, preparing and holding space for others, we can forget to make a little room for ourselves.
This December, Liminal; as day gives way to dusk invites you to step away from the busyness of the season and spend an evening devoted entirely to yourself.
A space where there is nothing to organise, nowhere else you need to be and no expectations of how you should feel.
Through the nourishing practices of yin yoga, guided meditation and the gentle resonance of sound healing, we will gather by candlelight to soften the edges of the week, reflect on the year that has been and create space for whatever this season may be bringing into our lives.
Because Christmas doesn’t feel the same for everyone, and even amongst the celebrations, we can find ourselves holding many different emotions. Whether you are looking forward to the festivities, feeling the weight of the season, navigating the complexities of family, or simply longing for a quiet moment to reconnect with yourself, there is a place for you here.
As the year begins to settle, perhaps this is an opportunity to offer yourself some of the same care, kindness and presence that you so freely give to others.
An evening to pause, to rest and to remember that you deserve a little space within the season, too.
