Lindy Bop

Come dance and celebrate Black History, Black Ourstory, and Black Futures! We'll be Lindy Hoppin’ at the Lindy Bop on February 20th at Move with Ease (10 E Ellsworth Ave, Denver, CO 80209). Come for the class at 7-8pm; stay for the social at 8-9pm. The class will be taught by Kenny Nelson (he/him) and Vi Bright (they/them). The social will be DJed by the genre bending, culture blending DJ Yamazound (Romeo Henderson).

Lindy Hop involves steps, stomps, jumps, turns, and other movements with a partner. We invite you to participate at your comfort level. Instructors are happy to provide modifications if desired.

The instructors are English-speaking but can provide basic interpretation in Spanish. An ASL interpreter will be present if requested at least a week in advance. After that, we will try our best to hire an interpreter but cannot guarantee one. If we are not able to get one on shorter notice, you will be notified and fully refunded.

DO NOT attend this event if you are sick. K/F/N95 masks are strongly encouraged and will be available for free. Please practice mask reciprocity! Hand washing is appreciated. Some contagions evade sanitizer but cannot escape soap and water.

Parallel street parking is available on Broadway, Ellsworth, Lincoln, and Bayaud Street. You may need to travel one to two city blocks to the venue.

Venue entry is street level. It is accessible via a non-automatic, door with a 34-inch clearance. The dance floor is 2 steps up from the entry. Seating is within view of the dance floor. There is one single-person bathroom & two water fountains.
