Lines and Lasers: Laser Cutting Jewelry
Event description
Class Description: Participants will explore digital fabrication processes to create jewelry that utilizes laser cut acrylic/wood. Participants will understand the start-to-end workflow of sketching/drawing a design either on paper or within a digital program like Adobe Illustrator, converting that design into usable Vectors that transfer easily to laser cutting software, and finally identifying the settings and techniques required to use the laser cutter itself. These laser cut pieces will then be assembled with jewelry hardware into a necklace, bracelet, or keychain that the participants will leave with.
