What is the Hot Seat?

The Hot Seat concept is commonly used as a way of getting tonnes of great feedback and learning in a short time from a panel of experts who are there to help you succeed. While The Hot Seat has an audience, it's not a roasting or entertainment - it's educational. The experts are here to help, and the audience is here to learn too! After all, what could be great advice for you could be great advice for them too.

Who is on our panel?

The Hot Seat will be hosted by Dante St James, Director - Innnovation & Investment, Darwin Innovation Hub and Head Coach at Speakstarter Public Speaking Training.

• Amila Gunawardana is a Darwin-based PTE Coach at School of PTE. Amila helps those on the path to permanent residency to ace their PTE assessments.
• Hari Sharma is the founder of Skillaroo, a Darwin-based career skills provider plugging the gap between university qualifications and real-world job skills.
• Bryan Pritchard is a Senior Recruitment Consultant at Randstad Australia, the world’s leading talent company and a partner of choice to clients.

Who can jump in the Hot Seat?

We have three places on the Hot Seat at this event. You'll have up to 10 minutes to ask our expert panel anything you like about getting your career started. In turn, they'll ask questions about your education, experience, the things you do outside of your work and study and, as a team, they'll come up with strategies to help you score your next job - or to get started on your career path.

The Hot Seat is an invaluable experience to career-starters and career-builders and gives you dedicated time to not only get great advice from our professionals, but to share your journey with our attendees who may just have a lead for you - or know someone who's hiring.
