Linocut Printmaking (Bookmarks)

CREATIVE LABS WORKSHOP: 

ages 12 and over

This is a beginners printmaking workshop in which students will learn from WaterFire Accelerate Artist Emily Gray about relief prints, a form of printmaking which involves carving out an image to then be printed.

The theme for this workshop is creating your own bookmarks where participants will carve out a rubber block of their choosing and then create bookmarks of their printed designs!

We will provide the materials and guide you through a step by step process of the artform. This beginners workshop will use soft linoleum rubber blocks, carving tools, and ink + paper and will focus on the basic steps of this artform. The students will be able to take their 3-5 prints home.

The workshop is free and open to all* but space is limited.
