Event description

Join local artist Sally-Mae Hudson for an awesome adventure in linocut printmaking.

Learn how to design, carve and print your own linocut! This is a beginners course into the wonderful world of relief printmaking, suitable for all, with no prior experience required!

We will start off with rough ideas and sketches and talk through how to make these into an eye catching design ready to hand-print onto paper. We will be transferring and hand carving our designs onto traditional artists linoleum. A focus on techniques with minimal equipment, will mean you don’t have to stop when you leave the class. The world of printing is incredibly accessible and with this beginners linocut class we will be taking the direct route to get you started.

Feel free to bring in something you would like to draw and carve, flowers, photograph, drawing, pattern etc.
