Event description

Join John Osborne who has been delighting the Huon Valley (and further afield) with his Linocuts for many years. John's class is aimed at beginners, and all materials and equipment are provided during the course. More advanced workshops will follow. 

  • Introduction and History
  • Introduction to tools
  • Holding and Cutting techniques
  • Making marks (shape, depth and avoiding getting cut!)
  • Individual exercises
  • Group Linocut
  • Transferring images to lino
  • Final Print to take home

Students are encouraged to bring a picture to model from, dimensions should be 200mm x 150mm. Images will be provided for those who don't have one. 

Bring your lunch on both days, kitchen facilities available. Tea & Coffee provided.
